In addition to its weight reduction, the Cervélo R5 is flat out faster than ever. Obviously aerodynamics are not as much of a focus as they would be on the S5 or P5, but more speed never hurts. They used internal cable routing which reduced drag by 25 grams. The R5 has a stiff frame but it is not too stiff. A tour-level bike needs a tour-level build and Cervélo held nothing back when creating their R5 models. This version is equipped with a SRAM Force eTap AXS groupset, providing high-level 12-speed electronic shifting at a lower price. It also has a Reserve 34 wheel at the front and a Reserve 37 at the rear. The rear wheel is narrower and taller than the front, helping you climb with the most efficiency possible.
